Fitness Four (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a publication of The Statement Group Corporation, 7901 4th St N, Suite 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. We write about fitness, food, supplements, and healthy aging for women over 50, and this policy explains what happens to information about you when you read the site, subscribe to our newsletter, or leave a comment. We tried to write it in plain English, because a privacy policy you can’t understand doesn’t protect anyone.
The short version
We collect very little. If you just read articles, the only data involved is the technical information every website receives automatically, plus analytics that tell us which articles people find useful. If you subscribe or comment, we have whatever you typed in the box. We don’t sell your personal information, we don’t run a login system, and we never ask for health information, payment details, or anything sensitive.
Information you choose to give us
Newsletter. If you subscribe, we collect your email address and use it to send the newsletter and occasional site updates. Subscriber lists are stored with the third-party email service that delivers our messages, and every email includes a working unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops future emails without any follow-up questions.
Comments. If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address, and optional website you enter, along with the comment text and your IP address, which WordPress records to help with spam screening. Your name and comment are displayed publicly; your email address is not.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every website, our servers and service providers automatically log technical details about visits: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, the page you came from, the pages you view here, and the date and time of each request. We use this information to keep the site running, spot problems, and understand readership in aggregate. None of it is used to identify you personally.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, connected through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to see which articles readers find and how they move through the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data under Google’s own policies, which you can read at policies.google.com/privacy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across the web with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
We also use the Pinterest Tag, a small piece of code from Pinterest that helps us understand which of our articles Pinterest users save and visit. Pinterest’s data practices are described in the Pinterest Privacy Policy, and Pinterest offers ad and tracking controls in your Pinterest account settings.
Spam protection (reCAPTCHA)
Forms on this site are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell real readers apart from bots. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information, such as device and application data, and sends it to Google for analysis. Your use of those forms is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files your browser stores. Ours are used for three things: making the site function, remembering your comment details if you ask us to, and the analytics and advertising described on this page. Third parties, including Google, Pinterest, and any ad networks we work with, may set their own cookies when you visit. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings; the site will still work with cookies off, though a few conveniences, like pre-filled comment forms, won’t.
Advertising
We may display advertising served by third-party networks. Ad networks may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to build a picture of your interests across websites and show you ads based on it. You can learn about interest-based advertising and opt out of participating networks at optout.aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org. If we join a specific ad network, its required disclosures will be added to this page.
Embedded content
Articles on this site sometimes embed content from other platforms, such as YouTube videos or Pinterest pins. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly: the platform may collect data about you, set cookies, and track your interaction with the embed, all under its own privacy policy rather than ours.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.
When we share information
We share information only with the service providers that make the site run: our web host, email delivery service, analytics providers, spam filtering, and advertising partners. Each provider may use the information only to provide its service to us. Beyond that, we would disclose information only if the law requires it, to protect our rights or readers’ safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of the site itself, in which case this policy would continue to apply to information collected under it.
Your privacy rights
United States state rights. Depending on your state, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, receive a copy of it, correct it, delete it, or opt out of certain uses. California residents have these rights under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, and residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and a growing list of other states have similar rights under their own laws. We honor requests from any U.S. resident regardless of state. We don’t sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
Visitors from the EEA and UK. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are consent (for the newsletter), legitimate interests (for site operation, security, and analytics), and legal obligation. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at the address at the bottom of this page and tell us what you’d like us to do. We may need to verify that a request actually came from you before acting on it, and we’ll respond within the time your law requires.
International visitors
This site is published in the United States and its servers are located there. If you visit from outside the U.S., the information described in this policy is transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.
Retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as it serves the purposes above: subscriber emails until you unsubscribe, comments for as long as the article stays published, and server logs for a short rolling window. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted connections and limited account access, though no website can promise perfect security.
Children
Fitness Four is written for adults, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There’s no accepted standard for how websites should respond, so like most sites we don’t change behavior based on it, but the opt-out tools listed in the analytics and advertising sections above work regardless.
Changes to this policy
When we update this policy we’ll change the date at the top of the page, and for significant changes we’ll say so in a note here. Continued use of the site after an update means the current version applies.
