This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on fitnessfour.com, what each one does, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers the rest of how we handle information.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. Some sites, including ours, also use your browser’s local storage, which works the same way but is not sent back to a server with each page request. Analytics tags are short pieces of code from a service provider that may set their own cookies or local storage.

People who sign in to manage the site, such as our writers and editors, also receive WordPress login cookies. Readers never need to sign in, so readers do not receive them.
Cookies from other services
When the Find Your Four planner shows a map, the map is embedded from Google Maps, and Google may set its own cookies. Articles that embed content from another platform, such as a Pinterest pin or a video, work the same way. Those cookies are controlled by the other service under its own policy, not by us. Our Privacy Policy explains what the planner shares when it looks up places near you.
Advertising
We do not currently show ads from an advertising network. If we join one, its cookies will be added to this page before they are used, along with any consent choices the network provides.
How to control cookies
- Every major browser lets you view, block, or delete cookies and site data in its settings. Clearing site data for fitnessfour.com also removes anything the Find Your Four planner stored.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Pinterest explains its tracking and ad settings in the Pinterest Privacy Policy, and you can change them in your Pinterest account settings.
The site still works if you block cookies. You will lose small conveniences, such as a pre-filled comment form, and the planner will not remember your ZIP code or saved plan.
Changes to this policy
If the cookies we use change, we will update this page and the date at the top.
